Descanso Garden Club

The Descanso Garden Club provides an opportunity for members of the local community to come together to increase their knowledge and enjoyment of all aspects of gardening and horticulture. Regular meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month. These meetings usually feature interesting presentations on a wide variety of gardening-related topics. The club also schedules field trips to nurseries, flower shows, greenhouses, and other places of interest. Volunteer projects, such as our daffodil planting program, make a positive contribution to the community.

Club members are encouraged to share their gardening knowledge and expertise at meetings, particularly in helping to identify those plants, trees, shrubs, flowers and vegetables which are most compatible with our local growing conditions. Membership is open to all community residents, and guests are welcome to attend our meetings. Whatever your particular gardening interest: flower gardening, vegetable gardening, herb gardening, orchid cultivation, landscaping, house plants, flower arranging, garden art, etc., the Descanso Garden Club has something to offer you.
